NACIONAL CURRENCY: The official currency is "BOLIVARES" (Bs).Use of credit cards is accepted in most of the commercial establishments, restaurants and lodging, and normaly international banks charge you about $4 per transaction on the cash points (ask first to your bank, and be carefull to cancel transactions at cash points once you finish!!!!! some of them are being corrupted!!!!).At the moment, it exists official exchange control rate equivalent to Bs.1,950 per US dolar but you could obtain even Bs.3000 per dolar in black market (Through Venezuelan people, but you must be aware because actually is off law! so if you do it in a public place you could go to jail!!!....but everyone does it a bit undercover) TO SEE VENEZUELAN NOTES AND COINS http://www.a-venezuela.com/billetes/index.shtml
