Getting there :
- By air : The Nice-Côte d'Azur Airport is only 30 km west of Monaco, regular bus services link Monaco to the airport or (cheaper) take line 23 from the airport to the train station in Nice.
- By train : Train services link Monaco to Nice and to the italian city of Ventimiglia every 20 minutes during peak hours. TGV (fast train) services from Nice go to Lyon, Paris and Lille. Some TGVs from/to Paris stop in Monaco.
- By bus : Line 100 from Nice to Menton has six stops inside Monaco, it's cheaper than train but traffic can be extremely bad.
- By car: See above about traffic. Underground parking is free for the first hour, then becomes incredibly expensive. The most scenic road from Nice is the Basse Corniche (N 98), along the shore.

Getting around :
Though buses cross the city, walking is by far the best way to discover Monaco, all points of interest begin within 15 minutes walk from the train station.
