Money and Costs

Help File
Currency: the Libyan Dinar, Exchanging Money: this can be done at all banks and some hotels, however you will get better deals changing ur money at jewlery shops, however this is illegal, and the savings may or may not be the trouble, Credit Cards: at the moment there is limited credit card acceptance or even travelers cheques. The Corinthia Babb hotel in tripoli accepts credit cards, howevr this a 5 star luxury hotel, Tipping, Bargaining: yeh u can bargain and barter in the old market, but this is not tunisia or morocco, Costs: For ur basic foods, in my opinion Libya is probably one of the cheapest countries in the world. 10 baguettes will cost u around 15 US cents, a shwarma or kebab will cost u about 80 US cents, a Beer, well that will cost u a few days in jail, ha ha. im pretty funny aint I. surely u must know that libya is an alcohol free society, however there is plenty of home brewed alcohol, however it can and probably will make u sick...
