Hungarians are really kind and relaxed people. It is rare that you see someone running, or having any kind of stress. They are quiet and will try to keep everything and everyone in peace as long as you won't try to worry. Polite and generous people are always prefered, but I think it's true all around the world! Try to consider that locals have a hard life because of very low salaries and growing stand of prices due mostly to the EU entrance. Keep trying to be understanding that, even if hungarians don't like being considered poor. Don't let them feel like... A custom is to complain, about several subjects: the Trianon treaty and the cut of 2/3!!! of their land, a difficult life and no future in their country, sometimes they want to escape and lots of young people want to emigrate... Well, it' a common feeling.
