Festivals, Sports, Concerts, Public Holidays...
There is always something happening in this town!
Early in March we have the Chill Out festival, which is one of the biggest and most popular Gay & Lesbian Festivals in Australia. It is always on the weekend following the Mardi Gras in Sydney.
The first weekend in May features the Swiss Italian Festival. This festival celebrates the heritage that the Swiss Italian immigrants brought to this country. Hepburn Springs was first settled by Swiss Italians and every year we still celebrate the history and culture of the early settlers.
In July, we have the Glenlyon Food Fayre which showcases all our local food and wine producers. We are very fortunate living where we are - we have an abundance of great local foods and wines!
In August, we have a festival called Words in Winter, which is mainly indoor based activities associated with .... words! There is a big fancy dress ball with a jazz band, there are plays and readings to attend, scrabble competitions and so on. All good winter-based activities.
There is always something interesting happening in Daylesford/Hepburn Springs. Come and see for yourself!
