Go where the locals go: - avoid the vondelpark and go to the westerpark - if you have seen the markets in the beautiful Jordaan, go for a change to the exotic and multicultural foodmarket in the Bijlmer. For free and fast internet, go to the new public library of Amsterdam! It's just east of the Central Station (behind the chinese floating restaurant) and it's open from 10.00 to 22.00 every day. While you're there, you should also check out the view on the top floor where they have a La Place restaurant where you can go for a nice soup or sandwhich and enjoy the view over Amsterdam.

People walk around in orange clothing and sell their goods and old stuff on the streets. Children play music and try to earn a dime. People make up funny games (about the royal family). In 2006 this celebration is held om the 29th of April. More informat ... more
