Most restaurants and pubs work up till 11 p.m. or midnight.
For local specialities, check inexpensive but rather good "Berneliu Uzeiga" chain inns (in the Old Town, Valanciaus str. or Donelaicio str.).

Exchanging Money, Costs...
National currency is Litas(Lt), 1 Euro is equal to 3.4528Lt. Money exchanging is possible in banks and currency exchange places, in the center of bigger cities. In small rural towns it is possible that you won't find currency exchange. If you need to change money at night, it´s possible to do it in casino, but the rate is not very good.

You can go to our cities information centers and they will sugest for you tourizm tours around Kaunas. this summer they have to sugest very nice trip "Kaunas view from river". It is trip with canoe in Nemunas from Kaunas hydroelectric till Nemunas and Neris confluence :) Amaizing experience! |
