So I got to Coban eventually and the next time someone asks you about the buses between Huehue & Coban, here's what I did: took the 8:45 bus to Sacapulas, from Sacapulas there was a bus around noon to Uspantan, where I arrived in the afternoon and stayed the night. The next morning I took a microbus at 6 am directly to Coban.
