Argentina is a large country. there are no very good conection by train, plains are really expensive but the transpotation by bus is quite cheap and really confortable:)

Restaurants:Try La Potota, in costanera norte, a very good place to eat meat with a good price, a few block of the Capital Airport.
Supermarkets
Street Food:Don´t miss hot dogs and burguers.
Local Specialties: our best local speciality is Asado, wich is cow meat grilled, it´s fabulous and you´ll love it, don´t miss it. In Argentina most of the restaurants do it. Un Muy buen lugar: Siga la vaca...

Currency: Peso Argentino - USD 1 = $3
Exchanging Money:Banks and exchange houses (do NOT try on the streets), in locals or commerce the exchange rate will be lower.
Credit Cards:all mayor ones.
Tipping:in restaurantes usually an 5 - 10% depends on the attention you recieve, in taxis 5% usually (or just the change)

Bars: Try Recoleta, it´s an area full of bars. Also Palermo Hollywood, another area with a lot of bars ans restaurants.
Cafes: Most tipical in Avenida de Mayo, the Cafe Tortoni, opens since 1900, it´s great. Also try La Biela in Recoleta.
Discos: in Costanera, you should try Pacha or Mint for Electronic music and La Diosa for latin, 80,s and 90´s music. They are really great, highlly recomended.

When talking about natural and geographical characteristics: WOW! You will find:
*mountains all over the west side (Cordillera de los Andes), with arid plain in the North and cold forest in the South. You can meet native people all over this Andes line. Their origin is not the same and it is very interesting to get to know them. Please do not take a picture without asking them. Some native believe that you are taking their spirit by doing that, so please respect it.
