Basic Facts

-Utah -Capital: Salt Lake City -Population: SLC and surrounding areas are the most populous, and have about 800,000 to 900,000 people living in the area extending from Logan in the north to South Sandy -Area code for SLC is 801 -Utah is a big state with a huge variety of ecology and land and space in the west -Other major cities or points of Interest: All of southern Utah (Moab, small cities), Park City, every other city in Utah is more residential than anything but might contain loads of Utah history and "culture" as well. Utah is world recognized for being one of the most beautiful spots on earth, and has a diverse landscape of deserts and mountians and forest. Outdoor activities are varied and unlimited as well, all around the state.

Attractions and Things to See and Do

Attractions: Skiing in Utah Mountains is some of the best in the world, and the 2004 Olympics were a blast! Utah is know for a wide variety of outdoor activites and beautiful outdoor regions, from river rafting in the gorgeous southwestern desert to backpacking in the norther Unita Mnts. outside Salt Lake. -Salt Lake has a lot of unique and fascinating culture do to the mormon population that setteled here. Unfortunately, the Mormon population leads a very different life than a lot of Utahans and Americans, and often impose their cultural thoughts and ways of living on the non mormon minority (strange liqour laws). On the other hand, there are lots of places to drink and party in Salt Lake and Park City, and SLC shares 99.9% of the characteristics most American cities do. Use your imagination, theres a lot to do in Utah!
