Money and Costs

Ukrainian currency is Grivnya (GRN). It is currently peged to Euro where 1 EUR = 10.60 GRN and Dollar where 1 USD = 7.60 GRN

Exchanging Money
You can change money at any bank or just on the streets in small currency exchanges. Take euro or usd as they have the best rates. Attention! Do not change currency at the foreign people! Traveler cheques are usualy not accepted.

Credit Cards
Visa and Mastercard are the most popular and are accepted almost everywhere in major cities. ATMs are available everywhere throughout the country, so you should never run out of cash :)



It depends on a place. The most expencive is Kiev. Some sample fares (in Charkow): Bottle of beer: 2-3GRN Pizza: 15-25GRN Coke 0.5l: 2.5GRN To be continued..

Доминирующей религией в Украине является христианство, представленное православными, протестантскими и католическими конфессиями. В значительно меньшей степени представлены иудаизм и ислам. Доминирующие позиции занимает Украинская православная церковь Московского Патриархата (УПЦ МП). Второй по влиянию православной конфессией является Украинская православная церковь Киевского Патриархата (УПЦ КП). Третья по величине православная церковь - Украинская автокефальная православная церковь (УАПЦ). Греко-католическая церковь является фактическим представительством Папы Римского в Украине.
