Attractions and Things to See and Do

LUANG PRABANG WATERFALL...... THE BEAT OF THE WATERFALL CLATTERED ABOUT OUR SOULS AS WE CLIMBED SWOOSHED AND CRASHED INTO THE BUBBLE AND FLOW OF THE DEEPS BELOW. LOOKING DOWN ON DEATH THE HEAVIEST OF WATERS DROWNED OUT OUR EGOS. SHOULDERS ROSE IN DEEP BREATH PREPARATIONS AND THE MIGHTY ROAR OF TURQUOISE PELTED OUR FACES INTO A SQUINT. A SHIVERING DIN SHAKE SWOOP AS WE WHOOP AND EGG ON BARRIER BREAKERS, WATER BREACHERS, HEIGHTS CLIMBERS, SEA SINGERS: ALL TRACES OF PAIN WASHED AWAY IN ONE GLORIOUS FLYING MOMENT. SURFACING WITH A FLICK OF THE HEAD AND A GASP, BAPTISED AND WARM AGAIN. AND ALL THE FORCES CAUSE A WINDY SQUALL. MOMENTARILY WE FLOATED LIKE DROPLETS OF WATER, THROWN THROUGH THE AIR, THEN SUNK INTO SILENCE. MAD INVENTORS STANDING ON A SODDEN LEDGE: DRIPPING AND COLD. ONE SECONDS CLICK OF AIRBOURNE VELOCITY AND SOFT WATERS FOLD ALL ABOUT YOUR LIMBS, FROTHING INTO EVERY LAST CREASE OF YOUR BEING. US: LAUGHING CONSPIRITORS IN A QUIET GAME OF WATER-DEAF GRINS AND DANCING GLOBULES AND THE COOLEST FRESHEST OZONE ANTIDOTE TO ALL THE FEEBLE 'ALPINE FRESH' COUNTERFEITS TELEVISION COULD THROW AT YOU.

Maps

Here you can include references to maps that are somewhere on the internet. Two conditions apply: they cannot be protected by copyright, (or you have to make sure that we are allowed to use them), and you have to make sure that it is ok if we call them up from here. If that is a problem, you can also send us the image file and we will upload it to our server.

Off the Beaten Path and Insider Tips

The most beautiful place on earth! Luang Prabang a very beautiful city with a lot of sights and a beautiful teahouse with a great library... but the best is definately the big 5 level waterfall ! it is just an A M A Z I N G place ! ! ! if you go up you will find some wooden stairs - go up and a little upon the middle go up to the right from where the water comes and you will find a place you would die for! A kind of natural pool -you can´t see it from down ! there is(or maybe was) a tree with a rope so that you can swing tarzan-style and jump into the pool, then you can swim to the edge and look down how the water falls and see the people who don´t know what is up there. go early with a private tucktucktaxi(bargain of course) so you can enjoy the sun till 2pm ! i can´t discribe the incredible beauty of this place but everyone has the possibilizy should go there! after i recommend you the redcross center with massage, and the best herbal-steam-saunabath and herbal tea!
