Nearby public transport: Bus #194 (or #174) can bring you from Sea-tac airport to Downtown for $1.50 in half-an-hour. http://transit.metrokc.gov/ is an useful site to lookup bus schedules and routes. Bus# 26,28,5 (from downtown) can bring you to Fremont. My apartment at Fremont Ave & 41st Street 
Nearby bigger cities, distance: Vancouver (~150mi), Portland (~180mi) Seattle is a gateway to Alaska.
Interesting things to see and do where I live, my tips (please also add this to theSeattle is a paradise for Nature/outdoor lovers. Tons of opportunities for skiing, biking, hiking, backpacking,mountaineering. US-101 loop is a great place for motorcyclists. And Seattle is a musically very active city.
