Expérience de voyage:My last "trips" were: a couple of days in Udine-Trieste-Grado; a 4-days-120km-hiking/pilgrimage trek to Mariazell; a weekend at the Saissersee in Carinthia; a weekend in Upper Austria: attending "Land des Lächelns" at the Léhar operetta festival in Bad Ischl where a friend performed, and sailing at the Traunsee; a hiking trip at Rax, Lower Austria. Countries I have frequently travelled to and know quite well are: AUSTRIA (except Vorarlberg), ITALY - somehow the country of my heart; SPAIN (I spent my Erasmus year in Granada); BELGIUM (many trips as a teenager, especially in Wallonia); GERMANY (relatives); LUXEMBURG (as it is small). Besides, I've travelled to NORWAY: Oslo, Bergen; SWEDEN: Lund, Stockholm, Gotenburg; DENMARK: Copenhagen, Maribo; ENGLAND: London, Leeds, Southern England; FRANCE: Inter-Rail all over the country; PORTUGAL: Lisboa, Porto, the region between these 2 cities, Algarve; ROMANIA: Bucuresti, Black Sea, Danube Delta; SLOVENIA: Ljubljana, Ptuj, Coast; CROATIA: region around Rovinj, Cres; GREECE: Crete, Thessaloniki, Larissa, Volos & surroundings; CZECH REPUBLIC: Prague, Brno, Telc; SWITZERLAND: Only Basle; SLOWAKIA: Only Bratislava, HUNGARY (but not to Budapest); ISRAEL; EGYPT (only Sinai); MOROCCO (only Tanger); CUBA: 3 1/2 weeks, the whole country from west to east; PERU: 3 weeks, Trujillo and the "Gringo Trail; GUATEMALA: 3 weeks, from the Pacific Coast to the Carribean; USA: Boston & surroundings, Miami.
Voyages prévus, quand et où? (vous pouvez aussi faire part de vos projets sur le forum)My next big trip will be to Venezuela in February 2010. In november, I'll go to Bad Bleiberg in Carinthia. For Christmas and New Year, I'll be on a business trip in Japan, great! For the next years, I have many trips planned to see friends in New York, Istanbul, northern Spain (near Santander), northern France (near Metz), Cologne, Frankfurt, Trieste, Pakistan (Lahore). Granada is waiting for me as well, haven't been there for five years! Two cities at the top end of my "to see-list": Budapest (what a shame, so near Vienna!) and Amsterdam. I have seen so little of Eastern Europe so far, never been to Poland, Bosnia, Serbia, Montenegro, Bulgaria. And I'd like to see Paolo Conte and Leonard Cohen perform before they end their career or pass away, and maybe combine this with a trip ...

Résumé de profil :I'd like to get to know people from all over the world while travelling and here in Vienna, know other countries and places and tell you about my own. That's what I love to do with visitors: Show them the town and my favourite places, talk about typical food, explain what's depicted on the money, why a street has its particular name, etc. - impossible to deny the historian ... I'm open-minded, friendly and interested in many things. And I love to speak foreign languages! The photograph shows me at the Danube Channel in Vienna, a good hangout spot for lazy sunny afternoons.
