Interesting things to see and do where I live, my tips (please also add this to theUtrecht is the fourth city of the Netherlands but it doesn't have the big city feeling of Amsterdam. My house is in walking distance from the historic city center (canals, old houses, good ambience) and the historic neighborhood of Lombok (some less known canals and hidden gems, mulicultural atmosphere). Of course there are parks and playgrounds in the area, too. If you want to explore the surrounding areas, there's plenty public transportation in all diretions, and I could point you to some nice walks outside the city - or come with you, of course.
