Interesting things to see and do where I live, my tips (please also add this to theIf you like to visit old towns I recommend you to visit the town of Brugge ( about an hour by train from Brussels ) Touristic places in Brussels: -old town market square -some art nouveau style houses around town -european parlement and european institutions ( if you like to see where some bureaucratic decisions influence european and world politics ) -Museums (art museums, exhibitions,Belgian BD/comic book museum,... ) - Forest of Soignes if you like to have a walk on paths in the forest. ( it s relatively safe - you can also horse ride and cycle in the forest - ) ---- If you want to hitch hike to Paris ( about 4 hours from Brussels ), I recommend to take Tram 91 to its south terminus, then walk on to the Drogenbos Highway-Ring entry.
