And I have been toying with the idea of catching a flight to Australia, I have always wanted to visit Australia since I've been in service but have never had the time and prepartaion to make the trip. As much as I would like to go home and visit my family for R&R I don't believe I will be able to stomach another heart wrenching good-bye from my family and loved ones again. I made a promise to my parents that when I do make back to the states, that it would be for good, due to the fact that my enlistment is up pending my return from this ,my third, deployment overseas. I guarnteed my mother that I would not re-enlist and I would stay state-side for sometime. I believe that a short vacation to Eastern Australia to see the local sites, and sounds would be the best way for me to take a time-out and decompress a bit from preforming combat operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
