Introduction
Taurage County covers the southern part of the ethnographic region of Zemaitija (Samogitia). It includes the territories of Taurage, Silale, Jurbarkas districts and Pagegiai regions municipality. Taurage is the administrative center of the county. This town is celebrating it's 500th anniversary in 2007. The County is based on agricultural and timber but has many sights.>
