Introduction
Gujarat was the birthplace of Sir Mahatma Gandhi and there are many cities that have something related to him. It's also a place not so visited by tourists and thus, locals have an ancient charm and a deep curiousity on tourists. Alcohol is forbidden and there are many interesting national parks, museums and temples inside Gujarat.
Top Things to See and Do
Sabarmati Ashram: Mahatma Gandhi's headquarters during the Independence days.
Akshardham Temple: Beautiful temple from the Swaminarayan sect with light show and amazing architecture.
Gir Lion Sanctuary: Safari with lots of wild animals.
Palitana: More than 800 Jain temples on top of a hill.
Diu: Touristic beach and one of the only places where alcohol is legal in Gujarat's surroundings.
