To visit the holy place of Taputapuatea which is one of the biggest "marae" (archeological site)of all the polynesian islands ; to swim into the lagoon, to visit the mother of pearl growing farms, to see(and participate to) the local dances and many other things Raiatea la plus grande des îles Sous-le-Vent est souvent appelée «Raiatea la sacrée».
