very remote high mountains.
Bicycling (especially old Kettle Valley Railway line)
The lodge is on a lake at 2000 meters elevation in the center of a provincial park. There are many interesting hikes to high ridges with stunning veiws of the North Cascade Mountains. There are also 5 lakes stocked with trout. See the website at www.cathedral-lakes-lodge.com
Castlegar is right next to the Arrow Lakes. There is great hiking, fishing and skiing in the winter nearby. The Rockies are breathtaking and nearby. There are several hotsprings. The open spaces and natural spaces are gorgeous.
Home of the popular Skaha Bluff rock climbing, Ironman triathalon, Kettle Valley Railway trail, Trans Canada Trail, wineries, beaches and orchards.
