Welcome, Hamburg Visitors!
Hamburg is Germanys second biggest city (1.7 mio inhabitants). Highlights are the the Elbe river with Germanys biggest
harbor, the Alster lake and the St. Pauli nightlife. It is also a very green city with many public parks, there are some
world-class theatres, musicals and operas and many other nice things of touristical interest.
Top Things to See and Do
The Miniatur Wunderland (model railway), the Alster lake area, the harbor, the alternative neighbourhoods 'Schanzenviertel' and 'St. Georg'. Famous neighbourhood St. Pauli with it's (touristic) red light district 'Reeperbahn', nice parks, the Lion King opera, lots of nice concerts, the 'amusement park' 'der Dom' on the area 'planten un blomen'. And so much more...
When the weather is nice you should do a canoing trip and explore all these canals, backyards, ponds - this is somewhat special to hamburg so don't miss. For help or guiding ask Philipp.
More info in the Travel Guide.
