The most crowded and exciting city in Ecuador. Lots of people gladly to help you out, lots of places to eat around, lots of places to hang out. Guayaquil is that kind of complicated cities that you always want to return. Weather is hot and humid most of the year. Lowest yearly temperature is around 18°C and highest around 37°C.?
Its airport is completely new and functional, and the best thing of all is that it never closes because of bad weather.
Top Things to See and Do
You must walk around the coast side (Malecon); there are even fancy boats sailing through Guayas river where you can party at night until your body resists.
Going north of Salinas (1.5 hours from Guayaquil by bus) there are the most beautiful beaches of Ecuador, including the worlwide surfer's paradise Montañita.
Guayaquil is the closest city to depart in order to reach Galapagos.
