Introduction
Montana. The last best place. The Big Sky. A state the size of Germany with lots of wide open space. I am from western montana, a great place for outdoor sports. Here there is unspoiled wilderness, world-class mounain biking, hiking, fly-fishing, kayaking, hunting etc. It is a long ways between towns here, so be prepared. I don't know much about the hospitality club here, but if you need a place to stay in Missoula or Bozeman I can help. Username Jparker
There's another part of this mammoth state called Eastern Montana. They don't have the skiing, quite as much snow, or the mountains, but what they do have is a friendly disposition, ranching, prairie and badlands. Few people come out here, but those who do know that eastern montanans never leave without a broken heart. They created the American cowboy after all (Texas, regardless of what they tell you, adopted their ranching from the Mexicans.) So if you're looking for a place where the horizon is unspoilt by anything, where besides Billings no town is bigger than 9000 and many are just a few hundred, where people value both their privacy and their community in harmony, check out this side of the track. You never know what you'll find.
Top Things to See and Do Please just Yellowstone natl park, glacier natl park, skiing at Big Sky, Bridger Bowl, Big mountain. Fishing in the Bitteroot Valley. Honest-to-God rodeo (Billings, Miles City, Glenndive, Sidney). Badlands (Terry). Small town western America.
Neighbor regions/States:
Wyoming, North Dakota, South Dakota, Idaho, Yellowstone National Park; Bordered on the North by Canada.
