All regions of Romania have top things to see. A European Jury elected SIBIU to be EUROPEAN CULTURAL CAPITAL 2007. It is a multicultural medieval town, situated right in the middle of Romania, so don't waste the opportunity to visit it. Mountains are very close to Sibiu. 30 km from Sibiu lies the highest resort in Romania: Paltinis. Sibiu county is full of medieval churches and fortresses under UNESCO heritage.
The Romanian Black Sea Coast is in the top on touristic travel. Here are the best resorts from Romania : Eforie Nord, Costinesti, Olimp, Neptun, Jupiter, Cap Aurora, Saturn, Mangalia and the Pearl of Europe, Mamaia! Over all these wonderful places is Constanta, second Romanian large City, Main Port on Black Sea, fourth large Port in Europe, the second economic power of Romania and the oldest city of Romania with more 2700 years of history! My son and daughter and myself are visiting Romania in March 2010. They are 19 and were adopted from Bucharest Romania. I want to take them home and show them their country and its people. Have nothing planned at the moment. Will be there for about 10 days. Cinders Australia.
