Introduction
Paraguay is a landlocked country in the middle of South America. It's got a strong cultural heritage as it was built upon a mix between the Spaniards and Guarani for centuries. Remains of this unusual linkage can be found almost everywhere: in gastronomy, language, art and people appearance and attitude.

Moving around the country is not difficult if you speak Spanish, however, it could be a challenge otherwise as there are not many English speaking Paraguayans.

Top Things to See and Do
Ruins of Trinidad and Jesus near Encarnacion, Vallemi Caves, Tagatija River, boating and Girls in Concepcion, Indians, National Parks and Mennonite Colonies in the Gran Chaco, The Capital Asuncion, Itaipu, the Guaira Region with the Ybytyrusu Park and Colonia Independencia, small towns around Asuncion for handcrafts and Franciscan heritage (Atyra, Altos, Piribebuy, Itaugua, Capiata), the Ypacarai Lake in Aregua and San Bernardino.
