Granity is on the coast, between forest-covered hills and the sea. Granity and the two small adjacent villages of Ngakawau and Hector have about 600 people - artists, craftspeople, musicians, miners and farmers. We have 3 cafes, a very small grocery shop, a theatre, 2 hostels, 2 pubs, a craft shop, a gallery, a take-away shop ... all the essentials!
Beaches Waterfront Volcanic Islands Sky Tower Sailing
The Auckland Museum is about 10 mins mainly flat walk. The Parnell Rose Gardens about the same. The quaint Parnell Village including about 35 restaurants & Cafes is just 200 metres. The Auckland waterfront is a short bus ride - 10 mins on the Link Bus. The CBD is about the same.
