IMPORTANT INFORMATION ABOUT SIREN PROBE ON OCTOBER, 3rd 2009
All over Austria on Saturday the 3rd of October 2009 the civil-protection sirens will be tested again.

Usually they start around midday with the usual 15sec every Saturday test signal.

Then after a while it will be 3min of continuous sound. This would be the warning signal in a real emergency: People should switch on TV or radio, tune in on channels of the Austrian Broadcasting Cooperation (ORF) and wait for the information to come and follow the orders given there.

After this signal a 1min up and down sound will signal actual DANGER, ALARM! Go inside and switch on TV or radio immediately.

The last signal will be a 1min continuous sound again, that will only be heard after the ALARM sound in a real situation and it means "end of acute danger", but You should still follow the orders given on TV or Radio, because there could still be local problems.

I hope this information helped some of You to stop from panicing ;-)
Regards
thyfriend
