Australia is a very large country in area-about the size of the USA or Most of West/East Europe but with only a population of 20 million. Landscapes vary enormously from the Tropical North, Central Deserts, Cooler Island State of Tasmania and the big cities on the East and Southern Coasts. There are vast distances to be covered and many National Parks. It is also only a few hours from New Zealand which is quite a contrast too just 3 hours from Sydney

Top Things to See and Do
Great Barrier Reef, Tropical North Queensland, Cities on East Coast, Central Australian outback, Ayers Rock, National Parks, Cooler greener island state of Tasmania, Cultural Melbourne & the Great ocean Road in Victoria,...

Neighboring countries:
Papua New Guinea, East Timor, Indonesia, /Bali, New Zealand, South East Asia.
Fiji (Please add links to those countries here).

Who is coming?

meettheworld Hi everybody, we are a nice and easygoing young couple(both 30) travelling around Australia since November 2006. We always like to meet new people and especially like to get to know the people that live in the countries we visit. Currently we are in Perth. After that we will go north along the coast to Darwin, later to the red center, We are going around the whole country and will also go to Cairns and then down the eastcoast to Sydney. We are looking for people to get together with, especially on the weekends. So it would be so lovely to e. g. be invited to your home or a nice chat, so that we could get some real Aussie experiences - not just the usual tourist thing. We love to visit National Parks and other places of interest. We like a lot of outdoor activities - bushwalking, observing wildlife, rockclimbing, sailing, scuba diving,... We love music and the movies. We are interested in your culture and way of living. That´s why we are here. It would be lovely if someone would get in touch with us! We are uncomplicated and fun to have around. So please contact us: 0420388564!!! Looking forward to meet you!

kenviro I am a simple and easy going guy who is visiting Australia in mid March. I will be in Melbourne, then Brisbane and followed by Gold Coast. In between, maybe even visiting Sydney but that is 50/50. I would welcome meeting new people, and hope someone can host my stay in Gold Coast during my time there. I plan to be in Gold Coast for 4 days or so. If you are willing to host me, please let me know by phone or email at kenviro[at] as soon as you can.

Want more guests!
