Introduction
Weimar was the home of many famous personalities, for example Goethe, Schiller, Wieland, Cranach, Herder, Liszt, Coudray and many others, who made the town world-renowned. Their vestiges can be found all over the town and in the in the 40 museums, where you can do trips to every age. Because of its exiting past and lots of sights, Weimar became European Capital of Culture in 1999. However Weimar isn’t a town only for old people. For Students there is much to discover, too.
