If somebody wants to travel around in Germany Darmstadt is a good city to start from. It is quite in the center of Germany and near to Frankfurt (and its Airport). Nice cities like Mainz, Heidelberg, Frankfurt (as mentioned before) can easily be reached by train. But there are also some things to see in Darmstadt itself, for example the "Mathildenhöhe" which is famous for art noveau, there is a museum "Hessisches Landesmuseum" with a famous Joseph Beuys-collection and in June there is the second largest City-festival in Germany (after Oktoberfest in Munich): the "Heinerfest"

Top Things to See and Do
Mathildenhöhe/Künstlerkolonie, Hessisches Landesmuseum, Rosenhöhe, Orangerie, Wellamuseum, Streuobstwiesen

Nearby cities/suburbs: Frankfurt am Main (30 km), Heidelberg (30 km), Mainz (40 km)

Who is coming? Just add your user name and basic info (date and places you will visit) about your trip here, maybe other members will invite you or meet up with you on the road. Use your profile to tell more about your plans.
