Hannover is a lovely city which has got about half a million inhabitants. It has got an old university, lots of museums, theaters and the operahouse, a lovely lake in the center, lots of forests and places to walk, nice shops and restaurants of nearly every nationality. Hannover hosted the EXPO in 2000 and is famous for its big International Industrial Fair in spring and the CEBIT, the fair for New Technologies.
You can visit a really interesting zoo and visit the nice region like the HEIDE, a really unique landscape not far from here or the Steinhuder Meer, a lovely lake for swimming or sailing or surfing. Hanover is easy to reach by various highways (Autobahn), international airport and train. (See: www.hannover.de)
