Introduction
Tours for this region are the most diversified and accessible. Departing from Nadi, they range from daily aerial sightseeing tours of the beautiful Mamanuca Islands, the more remote Yasawa Group and the Nausori Highlands inland from Nadi.
Island hopping from Nadi via the Denarau Marina is another popular tourist day trip. These are mainly to the Mamanuca Islands to resorts and to smaller islands which cater specially for day-trippers. Activities include parasailing, jet skies, banana boat rides and coral viewing on glass-bottom boats. For the more sedate, or romantic, schooners also depart from Denarau to beautiful uninhabited islands in the Mamanucas. Price for a basic beachfront bure is around $82 USD OR 64 EURO..

Nausori Highlands by 4WD – Views across the valleys, waterfalls and remote Fijian villages.

he Yasawa Islands are a chain of sixteen large islands, stretching ninety (90) kilometers in north-northeast direction, roughly thirty-five (35) kilometers off the west coast of Viti Levu. In the lee of Viti Levu, the Yasawas are dry and sunny, with beautiful, isolated beaches, cliffs, bays and reefs.
The Yasawas are famous for crystal blue lagoons and some of the Pacific's most ethereal beaches. The islands have white sandy beaches and crystalline waters, lush tropical rain forests and soaring volcano peaks that attract fresh tropical rain. The Yasawas are accessed daily from Port Denarau and Lautoka by fast catamaran and resort water taxis; or seaplane and helicopter from Nadi.
Clear blue waters with white sandy beaches and extensive fringing reefs and reef lagoons. The rugged islands provide a backdrop to this spectacular imagery. The rain shadow effect of Viti Levu from the prevailing moist south easterlies provides low rainfall and many sunny days.
Entertainment includes resort activities, village visits (for meke and lovos), sunbathing, swimming, snorkeling, diving, trekking and visits to Sawa-i-lau caves.
The Yasawa Islands offer a great range of backpacking properties with their own unique attractions, cultural activities, picture perfect beaches, authentic Fijian food, amazing bird life and world class scuba diving. You can do an inland river tour to a traditional village and take part in a Kava drinking ceremony.
Kava is drunk on special occasions and can numb the whole body if you have enough coconut shells full of it. After downing this you can take part in some Fijian dancing and try eating a meal which was cooked underground (lovo)
you can go swimming under a waterfall and then bamboo rafting.You can go island hopping to find some beautiful beaches.You can visit Bounty Island, where 'Celebrity Love Island' was filmed, or to small island of Naviti.
Ive stayed in a beautiful resort called 'White Sandy Beach' for 2 nights. We slept in a Bure - a wooden hut beside the beach which had a hammock near the front door. They fed us delicious food, fish in lobster sauce, banana muffins and lots of pineapple and sang songs for us all the time!
I spent our days on 'Honeymoon Beach' trying not to get sunburn again.We were the only two guests on the last night and got lots of special treatment, quite sad to say goodbye to everyone!We stayed on Kuata island too and had a bonfire party at night and more lying in a hammock and withith 333 islands surrounded by reefs and the entire spectrum of underwater terrain, from sharks, rays and 1000 species of fish to the vivid rainbow of soft corals, sea stars and myriad shrimp, one word does describe Fiji’s extremely diverse diving:

Well, like I said, I live in the interior. There's a river nearby, if the weather is too hot for you than you're most welcome to go for a swim in the river. There's a mineral water factory right next door and the biggest orchid farm in the country just 3 blocks away. Denarau mariner is about 30mins drive from where I live, depending on traffic.
