i feel the same way about CS.

i much prefer HC.

there is a vibe in each site that is unique, due to the founders' principles.
I have been a long time member of HC, upon friends' request, i joined CS, but i
could feel the difference, due to the set up and procedures i suppose.

It is true the HC site wasn't as full a flow compare to years ago... but i
decide to return and see what i can find clicking here.

Good Day!! This is Mohammad A guy from Jordan, I saw that you are visiting
Jordan, I hope and I am sure that you will enjoy it.!! actually Jordan is a very
beautiful and safe country, there are a lot of places that you should not miss!!
Like Jerash , Ajloun, Amman , Wadi Shuaib, Dead Sea, Baptism site, Mount Nebo ,
Wadi Rum, petra, Aqaba, Madaba and many many other places .!! you should also
try the local delicious food the culture and the lifestyle. So you need an
experienced reliable local person to help you discover and explore the whole
country, which makes your trip successful, safe and with the cheapest prices.
many expats and tourists find the transportation service here hard, expensive
and not comfortable, especially when it comes to taxi and privet cars that
relates to hotels and tourism companies. I am a driver and have my own car, I
can pick you up wherever and whenever you want. And I am not related to a
tourism company. thats why I do not charge that much and I charge way low prices
comparing to other ways of transportation, very good driving skills. very
familiar with the sites and places, shops, markets, events, and available for
short and long pick ups, trips, tours and any kind of transportation. You may
find it weird and rude, but I am forced to make this because I need money,
Actually I decided to make living through this way its beneficial for both of
us, I garantee you a very good trip and you can consider that you have a good
friend here. if you ever wanted anything do not hesitate to write me or call me

PACU JAWI (Cow Racing) in muddy field in Batusangkar- West Sumatera- IndonesiaTue 13 Dec 16 15:25

Pacu Jawi is cow race originated in the Minangkabau region of West Sumatra. It
is held on muddy rice fields as a celebration or auspice of good harvests and
possibly increase the value of well performing cows and bulls. Jockeys also bite
the animals’ tail to increase speed. The race is only 20-30 meters long.

Pacu Jawi always carry out according to the harvest season. The jockey rides a
pair of cow while holding on only to the cow’s tail. In order to force the
cows to run faster, they would bite on the cow’s tail on purpose. The two cows
are loosely tie together making it that much harder to maintain a long
consistent run. This creates some fun and hilarious moments, for instance, two
cows would run in different directions splitting the jockey in half. The jockey
fall flat on his face in the dirty and muddy water followed by a thunderous
claps and cheers from spectators.

Pacu Jawi or COW RACING is Folk's sport event. Your tour trip in West Sumatra
holidays begins as soon as you land in Padang Airport. Your tour guides will
either fetch you from Padang Airport (Minangkabau International Airport) or from
the hotel you stay in Padang city and will travel straight away to the Pacu Jawi
arena in Batusangkar Tanah Datar region which roughly takes 3-4 hours drive.

On your way, you might also have a short stop at Anai Valley waterfall & coffee
break at Panorama Kiambang. If you still have time, you will also visit
Pagaruyung Palace, the most famous tourist attractions in West Sumatra. It’s
also the icon & tourism highlights in Minangkabau highland. The Pacu Jawi race
starts around 12h30 & finishes around 15h30.

You will travel straight to Padang Airport (roughly takes 3-4 hours drive) to
catch up your flight and travel further to your next holidays destinations
around Indonesia. (note: if you are the backpaper and need my help to take you
to the sport ask me in my email- marjohanusman@yahoo com or send me SMS to

I'm a CS member, I never used the service before and now that I decided to
start... I had the same experience. NO answer or "I'm sorry but..." My
destination is usually a big city, I see there are 10000 hosts and 300
travelers, but no luck!
I'm new to HC and I will give them a try before to go back to AirBnB.

Kyrmyt...You are absolutely right...I paid to verify with CS when i originally
joined...Since then , My profile has been de-verified by CS twice..{{..for no
reason..]]. and all profile pages covered in advertising so as they could not be
read..I wrote to CS support on both occasions and was made to pay $28 Australian
dollars both times to become re-verified and the profile made
accessible...Complaining gets you nowhere with CS....Unfortunately, HC,,BE
WELCOME ,etc, of which i am a member are not supported in Australia...As i like
to Host, i must use CS as it is widely supported here..

@maganjay
the points I made in my original post still hold true. The CS stated assumption
of 'free travel all over the world' has attracted many folks to membership who
are NOT tuned into the hospex idea and take that assumption literally. We are
active in HC, CS and that small but friendly Bewelcome.org (I recommend that
one!). The least desirable guests have always come from CS! Currently we do not
accept guests from them because we are tired of inconsiderate, demanding,
incommunicative individuals who expect nothing but a free bed, travel with
friends who are not even members of any of the hospex organizations in their own
right.
Admittedly, in a pinch I have CS for hosts - with acceptable results.
