Hi, and welcome to HC!
Here are some tips for you. Saying in your profile that you are looking for a
host is totally useless!

This is what you do to secure a host:
1) SEARCH in the locales where you want to go, read some
profiles of HC members, as early as possible
2) contact folks through the HC site who might be suitable
hosts for you (making sure to mention something you
learned from reading their profiles). If you resort to
copy&paste, at least personalise your messages.
DEFINITELY address people by their real names, not their
user names! Offer your personal email address for
further correspondence.
3) be patient! Not everybody logs onto the internet every
day. Not everybody answers immediately...
4) after that carry on your correspondence offsite, because
the HC site is so busy, and forwarding is sometimes slow.
5) People usually indicate in their profiles how much time
before your visit they want to be contacted. Please
adhere to that!
6) if it seems likely that you have connected with a
likely host, exchange phone numbers and exact addresses.

Trying to find hosts by putting a notice in the forum is not
likely to be successful - that's not where folks are
looking for potential guests! Few members, maybe only 5 %,
read the forum, and fewer recruit their guests through it.
For anyone to pick through your itinerary and figure out
when to invite you - that is not a realistic expectation!
There are also some very desirable tourist destinations in
which our members are swamped with housing requests, and
they have become exhausted. Therefore they may not even
answer... There are really some wonderful people out there
who offer hospitality, but you must do the searching
yourself!

While you wait to become active, it is a good idea to check
out LAST POSTS (left column on the forum menu) and read
along for a few days. You'll get a feel for what's going on
in the HC community.
Good luck! And if you have questions, I'll try to help!

If you succeed finding a member to host you, it will be really nice for you to
offer something as a sign of gratitude! Bring something from your homeland that
fits the interests of your host, prepare a meal, draw a nice card - anything
that shows you care!

Hello.
Recently, our city will host pianist from Naples Bruno Bavota. His music charmed
us. He made us believe how beautiful is Italy and Naples.
I am a new member who is looking for a place to stay in in Naples, Italy 15
June. Honestly I say that it is quite complicated. I go to Italy with husband
and 9-year-old daughter. We love to travel, meet and get to know new places and
meet people from other countries. We are a nice, honest, trustworthy family. Can
you help us? If the answer is positive, we can make friends and welcome to us in
Latvia. With greetings from Latvia, Linda

Hello, my name is Manuel Barrios, I am a teenager (18 years old) and I study in
a city near Oporto. I am naturally from Venezuela but when I was only 2 years
old my parents moved to Portugal and they used to own a restaurant together,
where I always helped to serve different kinds of clients, from Portuguese
people to foreigners. Currently, my mother is working in a Cafe and I'm used to
helping her.
I'm really interested in this summer job in Oporto since I'm going to be free
during the Summer months. I have some experience in waitressing but I'm always
mind opened to learn and to evolve. I like working in little groups (always with
a team spirit). I am also patient when it comes to stressful situations.
As a plus, I am extremely fluent in Portuguese, English, Spanish (native) and I
understand and speak a bit of French. This would be amazing for the Summer
Season when a lot of tourists visit this wonderful city!

I look forward to hearing from you, Manuel.

Do you have the talent to innovate instead of emulate, and are you able to
create unique new destinations for Iceland? Festir is looking for an expert with
an exemplary vision for our projects.

For the shareholder of Samskip, we are looking for experienced talent in
consultancy for Festir. As a real estate development company, Festir is
preparing four individual projects: three in the capital area of Reykjavik and
one in the Snæfellsnes peninsula in West Iceland. Our current plans cover
approximately 20.000 m2 filled with 600 rooms and other facilities over the next
five years. The projects range from hotels with a mix of houses, including
various facilities such as natural pools or spas, to more exclusive apartments.
We seek a talented expert who can expand our position as a leader in the
developing industry of Iceland’s future tourism.

The position

As a Hospitality Management Consultant, you are able to manage your time
yourself. Living in Iceland is a must, but you can split your working hours
between our office and your home. You will be part of a team that is responsible
for the development and management of several real estate projects, as well as
projects for creative industries and art in Iceland. Examples include hotels,
hotel apartments or bungalows, natural pools and/or spas, restaurants and
catering services. As a permanent member of this team, your aim is to develop
core competence for local operation, as well as arrange plots, invent concepts
and strategies, and guarantee operation with long term success and growth in
mind.

Some of your responsibilities include:

- Developing retail buildings, entertainment facilities, dining spaces and
hotels.
- Developing interaction with the surroundings and conceptual work.
- Planning area plots anywhere between minimal to full facilities.

Is this you?

You are flexible and find yourself dreaming about Iceland. Working and living in
Iceland is part of the job, so we expect you to move to this beautiful country.
You have good business acumen and are able to focus on key objectives, select an
appropriate course of action, and set in motion a plan to get the job done. As a
self-motivated strategic leader, you can play a pivotal role in the growth of
Festir operations by using your entrepreneurial and motivational skills.

In addition, you:

- Have academic credentials in consultancy;
- Have a good mastery of the English language in both verbal and written forms;
- Have at least 5 years of high level working experience in hospitality
consultancy;
- Have no objection to working and living in Iceland for the duration of your
contract, at least three years.

Innovate where others emulate: our offer

Iceland is strategically positioned, close to both Europe and the United States.
In 2016 Kef Airport served more than 6 million international passengers and
local residents, and is estimated to grow to 9 million passengers in 2017. The
expected total number of tourists travelling to Iceland in 2017 is 2.2 million,
of whom 35% during the winter season and 33% during peak season. You will be
working in one of the world’s fastest growing tourist destinations alongside
experienced and reputable construction companies.

We offer the following:

- A competitive market salary;
- 24 days of holiday;
- A company laptop, telephone, internet connection and car;
- A great accommodation.

Hello everybody!

There is about to have place pension (retirement) scheme reform in Ukraine
(Пенсiйна реформа).
There will be additional, second pension found added.

In the effect the whole UA's pension scheme will look like following and it will
consist of the three parts:

1. Pensynyj Fond (State's Fond)
2. New (obligatory for every UA citizen between 18-35) pension fund.
3. The individual private enterprise

The same changes have had place in Poland in the late 90'ties.

What is your job?

We need people who will sign those declarations with people joining the second
fund. There is about 30 mln people that have to join it!
A lot of job to do indeed. The agent who will sign the declaration of accession
is of course being paid for that. All he or she need to know is how to write and
ask for name, surname etc.

Who we need the most?

We need managers who will recruit those agents and will organize their work in
the Ukraine, mostly people based in the Ukraine.
They are earning of course for each declaration of accession they agents will
sign.
Good money I think.

If you are interested in cooperation, please let me know, write your name and
surname and e-mail address, and I will invite you to the webinar where you will
learn and be informed about everything.

If you have any questions, please, feel free to ask.
