I am on HAL Veendam, and I hadn't thought of doing this, but a friend I hosted
in my home took me around in Trinidad, and much more fun than a ship's
excursion! I would write to each member individually but do not know what
province people are in, but if you can, I would be happy to reciprocate if you
came to my town or perhaps even let you stay (I live in the Los Angeles area).
Here is my itinerary.

I am on a Holland American Cruise so I don't need a place to stay, I wonder if
there are any Brazilian locals who wouldn't mind taking me around and showing me
the sights of their city. In return when you come to the L.A. area I can take
YOU around and possibly stay with me. We generally arrive on 8 AM and leave 4-5
PM. Rio I will stay at least two nights, below is my itinerary and the day I
arrive. Belem, Feb. 20, Maceio on Feb. 24th, Salvador Da Bahia Feb. 25th, Ilheus
Brazil, Feb. 2, Rio, March 3, Buzios, Feb. 28, Ihabela, March 2, Fortaleza March

find hosts, right?

Why does it seem that everyone listed on HC in North America has not logged on
to this site in like 10 years? No one is ever available, people who've put on
their profiles that they will host for up to a month or two because they have a
spare room, don't answer their emails let alone the message service on this
site; phone numbers, where listed, are probably all disconnected by now (I'm
going to try THAT next, barring language barriers!) why doesn't HC make us re-up
our accounts every year or so especially those who have said they CAN host? Or
if HC needs a full-time person (paid) to DO that sort of thing, I'd be happy to
do it since I went to M.I.T. back in the 90's. It's not fair to those of us who
signed up with this site over 10 years ago and have never been able to use it
because the people on the other end never answer their "requests." Other sites
like language exchange TELL you to answer every mail, "it's only polite"...!

Muchas gracias.

Around the world on a bicycle - cool people from 50 countries needed!Sun 05 Mar 17 17:01

Hi, I'm Maciej and I am from Poland. On the 1st of May I am going on a journey
of my life - 5 continents, 50 countries, 50000 kilometers around the world on a
bicycle and I am riding alone. I am looking for cool people around the globe who
are on the route and can help me a little during this journey, who would like to
show me their cities or let me stay for the night at their places.

Everything is a 100% safe from my side - I have such partners for this trip as
Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs or G-Shock - this is my own but very serious
project. If you think that you may and would like to help me with it - it would
be awesome.

The route of my journey is enlisted here http://kosmopolack.life/preview/ (incl.
map, dates and all social media links). It's a preview version (due to some
ongoing partners agreements) but the plan is acurate. I cannot say when exactly
I am in your city due to the fact that I am riding a bicycle, but you have date
ranges in every coutry, so please drop a line to m@kosmopolack.life (as a title
of the message please write COUNTRY/CITY) if you can host me for 1-2 nights.
I'll be in touch when I get there.

Greeting from Poland!
Maciej
