There In Abhkasia very bad any hitch-hiking at all!And there sharps and burglar
everywhere. Be carefull!!

My friends wanted to go and they were warned also not to go there. I'm Georgian
and unfortunately I can't go there. This is the saddest part o our reality-We
can't go to the one of the most beautiful part of our country;(. You are
complaining about hitchhiking there-and imagine people who had to leave their
houses and can't come back for 20 years. Sharps and burglars are the results-but
reasons are other. Before the provoked conflict between brothers it was one of
the most beautiful, cosmopolitan and developed touristic place-and very safe as
well.   

Heard through the grapevine that the ФСБ grand poobahs are building their
retirement mansions in Abkhazia, which suggests that the region should become
increasingly stable and friendly to tourists... just as long as those tourists
are not Georgian, obviously.

отстраиваются. И туристов из Грузии нет. В
каждом доме есть оружие и много. А денег у
абхазов мало. Еще меньше терпения , и

security forces in Abkhazia are rebuilt. And tourists from Georgia does not
there of course. Each house there  has a gun and a lot. But they need jnly" A
little money "from the Abkhazians. There is even less patience and desire to

About criminal and bad hitch-hiking - don't agree at all. In summer we were
there 4 people (2 girls and 2 boys). We spent there 1 month. It was wonderfulll!
Very hospitable people and country and hitch-hiking was wonderfull!!! We
travelled together 4 persons everywhere and always drivers were agree to take
all of us - 4 people!!! We just got up hand and 1st, rare 2nd or 3rd car stopped
and gave us ride!!! My best recomendation for this beautiful country!
