The vaccine should be available in most countries before November 2009.

CDC Issues H1N1 Vaccination Recommendations.

Recommended Target Groups:

Pregnant women,
household contacts of children who are younger than 6 months of age,
healthcare workers and emergency medical services personnel,
children and young people between the ages of 6 months and 24 years of age, and

nonelderly adults with underlying risk conditions or medical conditions that
increase their risk for complications from influenza

Please note: "Pregnant women and young people seem to be especially susceptible
to [the H1N1] influenza strain and also to bad outcomes when infected,"

The city in India where I live is declared as "Swine Flue affected" city in
India.
Most schools were closed and 1 by 1 re opening but still diease isnt
eliminated.
Some practioners saying do not take Temiflu tablets which has lot of side
effects.
Report says more than 700 patients in my city safely recovered from swine flue
and they are sent back to home.

As what my personal analysis I did is > Due to lack of sun light and lot of
moisture it's a good weather for swine flue bacteria's to grow. Sun rays are
eventually killer of swine flue some how.

 Regards,
 Amey.

Swine flu oddly picks on the young...infants to mid-late 20's. Usual
presentation is: sorethroat > malaise > low fever > muscle ache >dry cough >
productive cough of white-gray to yellow expectoration > no appetite > no energy
> little headache. Somehow, libido is not affected (I mention this just to
emphasize NO SEX with anyone under any circumstance). Preferrably, NO SEX.
Period. (Conseve energy)

I am particularly concerned with young traveling members contacting Swine Flu
because of the mild symptomatology that might not enough reason for them to
observe basic health care measures: bedrest, fluids (water....NOT tea or booze),
adequate nutrition and self-imposed quarantine (meaning, do not give it to host.
Converse from a hearing distance, preferrably with a surgical mask...or
multi-layered cotton improvised mask). ......And of course, chicken soup! DO NOT
take any mind altering drugs.

Symptoms more than mild (high fever, mental changes, breathing difficulty,
bloody expectoration, bigger headache, nausea, vomiting, visual
problems...etc...) should prompt immediate professional medical provision.

In the USA, go directly to any teaching medical center ER, with or without
insurance or financial means. Do not bother with private doctors' office...even
if it is affordable.

Remember, when it kills (it overwhelmingly does not), victims are usually in the
age range of club traveling members....up to mid-late 20's. It is strongly
recommended that young members get Swine flu vaccination before traveling this
fall.

Thanks for the information, but as the vaccination is not thoroughly researched
and as it is said that it may have side effects especially on those with
chronical diseases I am not taking it. Nevertheless I plan to go to China this
winter; does anybody know the situation there?

@musch...

You are terribly mis-informed about the vaccine.

Unless you are not within the age range of Swine flu favs, I very very very
strongly recommend you get the shot before heading southeast.

Matter of fact, no matter what age range you belong to, China this winter is
un-safe without the shot, especially if you have underlying chronic illness/es.
Moreover, you should get both the swine flu and seasonal flu shots at the same
time no later than November.
