Hello/Hola everyone,

i'm planning a Galician holiday from 23/02 to 3/03. I checked out my flights and
probably i will catch Ryanair from Rome and will arrive in Santiago de
Compostela in the evening (20.05 should be the arrival time).

I need some information:
- are there any buses from the airport of Santiago to the city center?do you
know schedule time?

-how to get to Santiago de Compostela to Pontevedra and La Coruna?
I read that there are coaches and also trains (1 train every hour to both
destination), is it correct?

As i'm arriving in the evening i am supposing to stay one night and the whole
next day into Santiago (at least i want to spend 2 days there and then move to
Pontevedra and La Coruna).
I heard that probalby i will find rainy weather in that period, is it right?

Thanks for your help.
Cheers
Alessandra

P.S.:you can answer to my post in English&Spanish.thx.

went there two months ago, there are buses from the airport to Santiago every 30
minutes, and from Santiago to Coruña or Pontevedra several trains and coaches
(every hour except weekends), you can check compostelavirtual.com. About weather
it uses to rain but its not cold, and rain wont stop you to enjoy this
interesting city. Have fun!!

Hi Alessandra,
I am from local from the area you want to visit even though I live abroad.
You can visit this website for info:
http://www.santiagoturismo.com/llegar/avion.asp
For the bus timetable from the airport to the city :
http://www.empresafreire.com/html/castelan/seccion3b.htm
Once you are in the city you can go to the bus or train station and there will
be buses and trains to either Pontevedra or Coruña.
During the week there will be plenty of buses and trains as Santiago has a great
University and there are many students travelling.
The weather won´t be like in the mediterranean therefore you will find cold,
wet weather more than likely.
I am guessing you speak spanish as you will not find many people that speak
languages although there are quite a lot of foreing pilgrims.
Without any doubt you should visit the cathedral, no matter what religion you
belong to it will be quite impresive.
The food is great but it will be expensive around the cathedral area as this is
a turist area.
I hope this helps.
I would have loved to show you around but unfortunately I will not be there
until summer. Enjoy!

You can take the bus it's better and cheaper!!!There are lines from Santiago to
La Coruna and Pontevedra. I know it because I have spent a lot of time in
Galicia each summer. Sincerly, Ana
