Hello,

I am sorry I am writing in English...
Me and my boyfriend are planing to travel from Brussels to Paris by train at
the
end of November. We would be so happy to visit some small cozy French towns or
villages which would be somewhere in this area and we could perhaps spend one
night there to see something different than Paris. Perhaps you could give us
some
tips? Or even advice regarding the accommodation?

Thank you!

Milda

I like Compiegne in Picardie. It is actually a city, not a town, with lots of
old architecture. From there you can go to Pierrefonds to see the magnificent
chateau, and there is a pretty village there. On the way there are also a few
little towns beside a great forest. Closer to Paris, you have Senlis, a big
town with a very special cathedral and a medieval centre. Near to that,
Chantilly is a pleasant town with another stunning chateau and gardens.

Bonne route!

hi Milda!
During my last visit to France I made several 1 day trips to some beautiful
small towns around Paris. I advise you to visit Chantilly with it's amazing
castle and a park, and Chartres - i liked it the most! It has a beautiful famous
cathedral, and the town itself is very lovely. well, i just love these places!
and it's less than 1 hour by train from Paris, so it's very convenient. i guess
it's fine to fo there for a day - it's quite enough for a small town. Enjoy your
trip!

Fontaineblau forest is one of the most beautiful in France. There are lots of
little towns in the area. You can find nice places in the Ecole river area,
Milly la Foret for example.
